Giveaway: 2 RJT Designs Flower Presses

When our presses showed up in the mail we knew they were something special right when we took them out of the box. These presses have been a joy to have on our coffee table as we wait for our flowers and leaves to be presses for projects and sharing. They are like works of art in and of themselves.

Not only that, but they are so easy to use! With the sturdy design and strong (but not too strong) rubber bands to keep everything together, they made adding new specimens to press simple and easy.

You can learn more about RJT Designs and take a peek at their other designs over in their Etsy shop.

We were exceptionally excited when the amazing folks at RJT Designs said they would give us two presses to giveaway!

Last year we did some really lovely pressed leaves of all types & then used them for watercolor inspiration all winter. I meant to do it again this year, but a wind storm stole all our leaves!

My daughter & her BFF want to do the pressed flower tattoos, have you seen that?

    • Dawn December 1, 2016, 5:59 am

I have not seen pressed flower tattoos, Eryn. It sounds intriguing. I will have to look them up. Thanks!

Oh, these are beautiful! It would be a welcome step up from our homemade stack of wood/cardboard plus clamps. Ha!

  • Andrea H December 1, 2016, 9:37 am

Ooh! We would love to add a flower press. We love to make bookmarks with our flowers. And we are going to try to make some ornaments soon with some pressed ferns. We have also added some pressed flowers to our nature journals.

My son loves collecting fall leaves and I am hoping to press flowers with him next summer. I have beautiful memories of collecting and pressing flowers with my mum when I was little, but our lovely little press seems to have disappeared over the years and various moves. Will check these ones out!

  • Mollie December 1, 2016, 10:40 am

  • Jen December 1, 2016, 11:26 am

This is awesome!!! We’ve been using big books to press our flowers, but a press would make it so much easier! Thank you!!

  • Olena December 1, 2016, 11:33 am

We love pressing flowers! Those look fabulous!

  • Julia December 1, 2016, 11:39 am

  • Karen December 1, 2016, 11:51 am

I have only tried to press flowers in heavy books before, and to be honest- It has never quite worked out! We usually forget and find a too-far gone flower months later. I think that a purpose built tool would help differentiate the project from the usual pile of books around! And after reading other comments here, I would love to try pressing leaves as well.

  • Chiska December 1, 2016, 1:08 pm

I love pressing leaves. I did more flowers when I was younger, but leaves seem more accessible to me now. We made tons of bookmarks when I was young.

  • Miranda December 1, 2016, 4:51 pm

We would love to try this!

  • fiona December 2, 2016, 12:57 am

The last flowers I pressed were from my grandmother’s iris’ down in beautiful Bridgewater :) This would be a fun gift for us, great way for the boys to appreciate nature in more ways.

  • Olivia December 2, 2016, 7:14 am

My kids would both love this, especially my 3 yo daughter (and TBH, so would I…) Our nature experiences centre around the local beach and our garden – this would help preserve a bit of the latter! Thanks. (One question though – are these giveaways open to those of us outside North America?)

  • Marisela Smookler December 2, 2016, 8:24 am

We love pressing wildflowers in the spring time.

  • Kelly December 2, 2016, 8:39 am

As one of our Nature Club projects in the fall we made some leaf/flower presses which cultivated our love of pressing nature finds! Our press is always full!

  • Sarah B. December 2, 2016, 8:41 am

We love to press leaves, even if we never do anything with them afterward. :)

  • Rita Muller December 2, 2016, 8:52 am

We used to press all our flowers in an old dictionary before my husband made a flower press. However, we keep running out of room in that one! I love the flower design on these ones.

  • Nicole Martin December 2, 2016, 9:02 am

  • Shanna December 2, 2016, 9:02 am

Beautiful! We could use some more pressing space; our press is usually full.

  • Donnismarie December 2, 2016, 11:52 am

Wow! This is beautiful. This would be great for all the flowers my two little boys pick for me ❤️

  • Kiley Lundin December 2, 2016, 12:43 pm

Oooh, we could make bookmarks for our nature pals!

  • Susan Hata December 2, 2016, 11:44 pm

I love the rubber band concept to hold these together. We had one flower press with screws in each corner, but unfortunately the screws have been sneaking away one by one. This looks like a great design, and so attractive!
